MatureProton–Neutron Mass Splitting
The neutron is 1.293 MeV heavier than the proton despite having the same self-link pq=6. The mass splitting arises from the T(2,3)/T(3,2) asymmetry in Weber binding — a G₂ flavour effect.
Although the proton and neutron share the same self-linking number , the neutron is precisely 1.293 MeV heavier. This splitting is rooted in the symmetry breaking within the 8D spatial extension.
Mass Splitting Equation
The Weber binding energy differentiates the configuration from the configuration due to the relative acceleration term . The relative velocities in the swapped winding domains cause a net MeV bias favouring the proton.
Net Splitting
Swapping the and indices exchanges two of the generators. Further details on this group-theoretic route are documented in the flavour analysis papers.
Integrity Status: Maturing [M]
The mechanism correctly identifies the competing forces (EM vs Weber) driving the mass split, but the high-precision numerical value remains a maturing derivation.
